Pedestrian Accidents in Maryland
Every hour, around fifteen pedestrians are hurt in crashes across the United States. In Maryland, many pedestrians suffer severe injuries in crashes along our roadways. The majority of these accidents take place during the evening hours when it is more difficult to see pedestrians along our busy roads.
Pedestrians are likely to suffer severe injuries that require medical care. Not only do pedestrians have to go through emergency surgery and remain hospitalized for several days, but quite often they also require long-term care as well. Thousands of injured pedestrians have to go through months of physical therapy for their injuries. Depending on the types of injuries that pedestrians are left with, they may have to go through multiple surgeries and other treatments. Regrettably, there is no way to guarantee that all of this medical care will lead to a full recovery. Many victims are left permanently disabled and unable to return to their normal way of life.
