Car Accidents in Maryland
Roughly 13% of all crashes in the United States are T-bone collisions. These accidents also account for nearly 18% of fatal accidents. Here in Maryland, we see thousands of people harmed in broadside crashes every year.
T-bone crashes can occur for a variety of reasons. The majority of these accidents occur due to drivers failing to yield the right of way to other motorists. Typically, T-bone accidents occur at intersections. However, they can also occur in areas where people are pulling out of driveways or parking lots, or just re-entering the roadway from an adjacent area.
These accidents can and often due result in severe injuries. Victims who are involved in T-bone accidents are not only harmed by the force of impact, but also due to glass breaking, objects flying, and various other factors. When people are sitting on the side of the vehicle that is struck, they are likely to suffer even more severe injuries, likely crushing injuries.
Depending on the speed at the time of the crash and the location of the hit, T-bone accidents often end in rollovers, which can also increase the severity of injuries.
If you are hurt in a T-bone crash as a result of a negligent driver, you should seek the guidance of a car accident lawyer in Aspen Hill right away. A fearless law firm can make a huge difference when it comes to your ability to get justice.
