Silver Spring, MD (January 20, 2022) – One adult was transported by Montgomery County Fire Rescue Services Emergency Medical and Integrated Healthcare Services to a local hospital with traumatic injuries after an auto wreck in the Silver Spring area on Wednesday morning.
Just before 1:30 a.m., on January 19, the Montgomery County Police were dispatched to a collision on the outer loops of Interstate 495. The police report that three vehicles were involved in a wreck on the beltway near New Hampshire Avenue. The collision resulted in extensive delays back toward University Boulevard.
One person was severely injured in the wreck. The victim was transported by MCFRS EMIHS to a local hospital.
At this time, investigations are underway to determine what led to the crash occurring.
