Silver Spring, MD (April 24, 2022) – At least one victim was left hurt following a crash that occurred in the Silver Spring area on Friday afternoon, April 22. Just before 2:20 p.m., the Montgomery County Police Department was dispatched to a crash that blocked Georgia Avenue.
Officers in Montgomery County reported that an auto wreck between an undisclosed number of vehicles blocked Georgia Avenue near Corwin Drive during the afternoon hours. The police and Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services closed some of the roadway off as they worked to remove the damaged vehicles and debris from the scene.
Medics with the MCFRS provided treatment to victims while at the scene. At least one of the people hurt in the wreck was transported by MCFRS EMS to a nearby hospital.
The cause of this collision is under investigation by the police in Montgomery County at this time.
