Rockville, MD (June 10, 2022) – A crash occurred in the Rockville area on Tuesday evening that ended in injuries. Just after 5:15 p.m., on June 7, the Montgomery County Police Department and firefighters were notified that a crash took place on Interstate 495.

The Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services reports that a collision between vehicles occurred on the inner loop of Interstate 495 Beltway. The collision caused delays between Old Georgetown Road and Rockville Pike. The crash, which involved a tractor-trailer, caused severe delays throughout the area.

At least one person was transported by MCFRS EMS to a local hospital for medical care.

The Montgomery County Police Department is investigating the crash.
