Brandywine, MD (January 5, 2022) – During the early morning hours on Wednesday, January 5, the Prince George’s County Fire officials were requested on-site at an incident on South Springfield Road.

Reports from the PGCFD show that a carbon monoxide leak was reported in a home in the 1400 block of South Springfield Road in the area of Danville Road. Firefighters rushed to the scene and secured the property, which was located just six miles from Brandywine.

Upon entering the premises, firefighters found two people fatally injured as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning. A third victim was rushed to a local hospital with severe injuries.

Investigations are currently underway surrounding this incident.
