Colesville, MD – Injuries Reported in Crash on I-495 near Colesville Rd
Colesville, MD (June 23, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Colesville area ended in injuries. At around 8:10 p.m., on June 21, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of a crash on Interstate 495.
Reports from the Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management show that a collision between vehicles blocked the two right lanes of Interstate 495 on the outer loop. The incident caused delays in the area near Colesville Road.
Emergency medical services responded to the scene of the accident to render aid to the victims who suffered injuries in the crash. At least one person was transported to an area hospital.
The police and firefighters remained on-site for an extended time as they worked to restore the flow of traffic.
