Aspen Hill, MD – Bicyclist Struck by Vehicle at Georgia Ave & Norbeck Rd
Aspen Hill, MD (May 21, 2022) – One person was left with significant injuries as a result of a bicycle accident in the Aspen Hill area on Friday afternoon. Just after 1:20 p.m., on May 20, the Montgomery County Police Department and the Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services were dispatched with medical personnel to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Norbeck Road.
Reports provided by MC PD indicate that a bicyclist was traveling in the area of Norbeck Road and Georgia Avenue during the afternoon hours. For unknown reasons, the adult bicyclist was struck by a vehicle.
The victim suffered from traumatic injuries as a result of the accident. EMS with the Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services transported the victim to a local hospital where they underwent emergency medical care.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation.
