Montgomery, MD – Six Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash at Connecticut Ave near Atherton Dr
Montgomery, MD (May 13, 2022) – Multiple victims were hospitalized with injuries as a result of a crash that took place in Montgomery County on Thursday morning, May 12.
At around 7:35 a.m., the Montgomery County Police and Montgomery County Fire & Rescue responded to a major collision on Connecticut Avenue.
Reports from authorities show that a Ford was trying to make a left turn from Atherton Drive to the northbound side of Connecticut Avenue when it collided with a southbound Kia. The Ford was occupied by two adults at the time of the crash while the Kia was occupied by four people.
All six people were injured in the crash. EMS transported the victims, identified as four adults and two minors, to area hospitals for emergency care. At least one victim was hospitalized in critical condition.
The crash remains under investigation by the Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU).
