Bethesda, MD – Multi-Vehicle Wreck on I-270 near I-495 & Old Georgetown Rd Results in Injuries
Bethesda, MD (April 27, 2022) – A crash involving several vehicles caused injuries and delays in the Bethesda area on Tuesday afternoon, April 26. Just after 3:45 p.m., the Montgomery County Police Department was dispatched to an auto wreck on the northbound side of Interstate 270.
Officers with the Montgomery County Police Department report that several vehicles, including one semi-truck, collided on Interstate 270. The wreck caused delays between Interstate 495 and Old Georgetown Road.
Multiple vehicles blocked the roadway and caused delays throughout the area. The Montgomery County Fire & Rescue assisted the police in clearing the scene.
Medical personnel with MCFRS treated victims and provided them with transportation to local hospitals, where they underwent further medical care for undisclosed injuries.
The MCPD is conducting a thorough investigation into this crash.
