Pedestrian Accidents in Maryland

Nearly ten pedestrian crashes take place every day in our state. Many accidents have terrible consequences for those involved. Data reports indicate that between 100 and 130 pedestrians are fatally injured in crashes annually across Maryland. These incidents leave thousands more with injuries.

People who are hurt in pedestrian crashes are more likely to suffer injuries that require long-term care. Many pedestrians suffer severe head injuries that result in the loss of motor skill functions and memory. A lot of victims experience anger issues from traumatic brain injuries and unbearable pain.

Spinal cord injuries are even more debilitating in most cases. These injuries often leave victims paralyzed and unable to perform various tasks on their own. Victims may require assistance due to their inability to use their arms or legs, or even both.

No matter what type of injury you are left with as a result of a pedestrian accident, there is a good chance that you will require emergency medical care. Many people have to go through months of therapy and other treatment as well.
