Wheaton, MD – Pedestrian Loses Life in Auto Accident on Veirs Mill Rd near Ferrara Ave
Wheaton, MD (January 19, 2022) – The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has confirmed that an auto accident reported on Monday evening in Wheaton claimed one pedestrian’s life.
Just after 6:20 p.m., on January 17, the police in Montgomery County were dispatched to a crash that took place at the intersection of Veirs Mill Road and Ferrara Avenue.
Police state that they arrived at the scene to find a pedestrian suffering from fatal injuries near the intersection. A light blue Volkswagen Passat was identified as the vehicle that possibly struck the pedestrian. Police state that the vehicle most likely had damage to the front grille, bumper, or windshield and possibly damage to the side mirror based on evidence at the scene.
Emergency workers pronounced the victim deceased before they were transported from the scene.
MCPD is investigating the crash.
