When people become stranded, they may be unsure of what to do. Because it can be a worrisome situation, being educated about how to stay safe is imperative to a person's ability to remain calm if they ever find themselves in a dangerous predicament. KSLTV suggests that people place flares about 40 feet in every direction of their vehicle, but then remain inside of their vehicle until help arrives.
